Bigfoot Crane Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Safety Training Instructor to join our Academy team at the head office in Abbotsford, BC. The successful candidate will report to the Training Academy Manager and be responsible for providing small equipment and safety training to our students and corporate clients. We’re hiring an instructor who is reliable, experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and looking for a rewarding career as an educator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instructor/Certifier for Level 1 Rigger Certification Course
- Instructor for several levels of Overhead Crane Courses
- Theory and practical instructor for Self-Erect Tower Crane Course
- Instructor for Safety Training services offered mostly within the Lower Mainland:
- IVES Courses - Forklift, Telehandler, Skid Steer, MEWP, Narrow Isle Forklift and Scissor Lift Certification
- Instructor for Crane & Heavy Equipment Simulator Training
- Provide the Legendary customer service Bigfoot is known.
- Prepare training materials for upcoming sessions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide innovative ideas and assist with course material development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Experience:
- Operating Cranes & Equipment
- Rigging and Lift Planning
- Background in Construction Safety
- Ives Equipment Certifier for
- Standard Forklift
- Rough Terrain Telehandler
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform
- Skid Steer/Wheel Loader
- Narrow Isle Forklift
- Fluent English, excellent grammar, and manners
- Strong computer and math skills
- Class 5 license with clean abstract
Bonus Experience:
- Crane & Rigging Experience
- Previous Training Experience
- Microsoft Office Suite experience

- Passionate for industry and sharing experiences/knowledge
- Comfortable speaking in front of up to 16 people at a time.
- Energetic, very patient, and possess the endurance to speak for full day sessions.
