Summary
's role as a Floor Supervisor at Thompson Children’s World Inc. is vital in maintaining a high-quality childcare environment. Based in 5-436 Thompson Drive , this position involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of developmentally appropriate activities that support children's growth and well-being.
Responsibilities
's responsibilities include:
- Supervise daily activities to ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Lead and support staff to deliver quality early childhood education.
- Coordinate with families to meet each child's individual needs.
- Oversee program compliance with licensing standards.
- Manage staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive team culture aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed consistently.
- Support the implementation of curriculum and developmental activities.
- Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
Must have some experience being a supervisor, team leader
Must be a ECE2 or ECE 3
- Proven supervising experience in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, and staff.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of licensing standards and health & safety regulations. Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working within Manitoba’s early childhood programs.
- Additional training or certification in early childhood education or related fields.
