About the Role
Care Bakery is seeking an energetic and personable Brand Ambassador to represent our gluten-free product line at grocery stores throughout the summer. As the face of our brand, you will engage with customers, share our story, provide product samples, and create positive experiences that encourage customers to discover and purchase our products.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, is passionate about food, and takes pride in representing a local Canadian bakery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a professional ambassador for Care Bakery at in-store demonstrations and promotional events.
- Set up, maintain, and dismantle sampling displays and promotional materials.
- Prepare and distribute gluten-free product samples while adhering to food safety standards and preventing cross-contamination.
- Engage customers in conversation and educate them about our products, ingredients, and brand story.
- Answer customer questions and provide product recommendations.
- Build excitement around the brand and encourage product purchases.
- Monitor product inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sampling station.
- Complete event summaries, including customer feedback and sales observations.
- Represent Care Bakery’s values and commitment to quality at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Food Safety Handler Certification (required).
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned grocery store locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable approaching and engaging customers.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, promotions, events, or food service is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Personal experience living with celiac disease or gluten intolerance is considered a strong asset.
- Familiarity with gluten-free products, ingredients, and dietary considerations.
- Passion for helping customers navigate gluten-free food choices.
Schedule
- Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer season.
- Flexible shifts based on promotional schedules and store requirements.
