We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our innovative technology team. Duties
- Design and optimize telecommunication network architecture including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and SD-WAN solutions to enhance connectivity and performance.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as Cisco routers, Juniper switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Implement and manage network security protocols including Firewall policies, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), and encryption standards to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and SolarWinds to proactively identify issues and optimize system uptime.
- Administer network services such as DNS (Domain Name System), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), NFS (Network File System), Active Directory, LDAP authentication, and load balancing solutions to ensure reliable access and resource availability.
- Support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Citrix, and cloud environments like AWS and Azure for scalable infrastructure deployment.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Shell Scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to develop network management strategies aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) principles while ensuring high availability for critical systems like SAN (Storage Area Network) and high-performance data centers.
Experience
- Proven experience in network engineering or system administration with a focus on telecommunication infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, along with network protocols including Ethernet, MPLS, IPsec, QoS (Quality of Service), VPNs, SSL/TLS encryption standards.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/ASA devices, Juniper equipment, openSUSE/Linux distributions like Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris/Unix systems including BSD variants.
- Familiarity with network security best practices including firewall configuration, PKI management, high availability architectures, load balancing techniques, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong understanding of data center operations with experience managing SAN storage solutions and virtualization technologies like vSphere or Citrix XenServer.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices involving scripting for automation in a Linux/Unix environment combined with experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues quickly while maintaining clear documentation of configurations and procedures.
