Maintenance Worker – Carpentry Focus

Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours, occasional on-call nights/evenings/weekends/holidays

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker with a strong Carpentry Focus to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on carpentry experience who may not hold a Red Seal certification but has practical knowledge in construction, repairs, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry repairs and maintenance
- Repair doors, trim, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures
- Complete minor renovations and finishing work
- Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance
- Assist with painting, patching, and basic building repairs
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers as needed
- Maintain safe and clean work areas
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Reasonable knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
Qualifications
- Experience in carpentry, construction, or building maintenance
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Knowledge of general repair and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Valid clean driver’s licence required
- Criminal record check required
- Apprentice carpentry experience considered an asset
- Red Seal certification not required
