We are seeking skilled and caring Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our network of healthcare professionals providing care to clients requiring in-home nursing care, post-surgical support, and ongoing health services.
Position Summary
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care in accordance with the standards of practice established by the nursing regulatory body. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to support positive health outcomes and maintain the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to clients, including assessments, treatments, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within scope of practice.
- Monitor and report changes in client health status to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Educate clients and families on health management, treatments, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Promote a respectful, supportive, and client-focused care environment.
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or applicable provincial regulatory body.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 2 working references
- Personal Liability Insurance
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Experience in home care, community care, long-term care, or clinical settings is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the service area.
