Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team for right hand drive vehicle repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles to ensure safety and optimal performance. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and schematic reading is highly valued. The Automotive Technician will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by providing reliable and high-quality work.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Conduct complex repairs including engine work, transmission servicing, and electrical diagnostics
- Utilize welding techniques for structural repairs when necessary
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair activities
- Assist in vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to dealership or company guidelines
Requirements
- 310S license - Journeyman
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably within a dealership environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of automotive repair best practices and maintenance procedures
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not required
