The University of Lethbridge School of Graduate Studies invites applications from students registered in a co-operative education program for a full-time, temporary Graduate Funding Assistant position beginning September 1, 2026 (or earlier) and ending April 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Graduate funding and employment play an important role in supporting student success and advancing the university’s research and academic mission. The Graduate Funding Assistant contributes to the effective administration of scholarships, awards, graduate assistantships, and related funding programs by supporting key administrative processes and helping ensure students, faculty, and staff have access to clear, accurate, and timely information.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in higher education administration, project management, communications, and process improvement. The successful candidate will gain experience working with complex administrative processes, supporting institutional committees, managing communications, and developing documentation used across the university.
In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Document and update procedures related to graduate student funding, employment, and administrative processes.
- Assist with the administration of graduate funding and employment activities, including preparing and maintaining records, forms, and databases.
- Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff by providing accurate and timely information regarding graduate funding and employment processes.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of online resources, including website content, guides, and reference materials.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for graduate award adjudication committees, including scheduling, communications, and document preparation.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects that enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness within the School of Graduate Studies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
