The Fleet Labourer assists the department with the hands-on maintenance, cleaning and organization of vehicles within the garage. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for providing safe and efficient assistance to fleet employees.
Responsibilities
- General hands on tasks to maintain shop cleanliness including garbage removal, and yard clean-up
- Assist mechanics and fleet staff with basic labour tasks
- Assist with Facility Inspections and minor repairs
- Move vehicles and equipment within the yard or worksite
- Load and unload materials, tools and supplies
- Complete other general labour duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma is required
- Valid driver's license is required
- Experience working around heavy duty equipment is an asset
- Safety-focused
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Able to work under limited supervision
