Abatement / Demolition Worker - Kitchener, ON
Our client is looking for a Remediation Technician to join their growing environmental and restoration services team based in Kitchener, Ontario. This organization specializes in hazardous material removal, water damage restoration, demolition services, and site cleanup for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of remediation and restoration projects, supporting safe worksite operations and ensuring all procedures are completed according to industry standards.

Responsibilities
- Perform safe removal of hazardous building materials, including mould and designated substances
- Set up and dismantle containment and decontamination areas
- Follow remediation, cleaning, and decontamination procedures
- Properly bag, label, and dispose of contaminated materials
- Assist with demolition, restoration, and general labour duties as required
- Load, carry, and move materials and equipment on job sites
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE, including respirators

Qualifications
- Experience in asbestos abatement, mould remediation, demolition, or restoration work
- Industry certifications considered an asset; training available for suitable candidates
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding labour tasks
- Comfortable working in varying site and environmental conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license an asset
