NaviCivis Inc. is a young and growing company based in Herring Neck, Newfoundland. We manage rental properties, complete construction and renovation projects, and repair heavy and marine equipment. Our work is diverse, fast-paced, and constantly evolving.
We're looking for a reliable, experienced individual who can work independently, lead projects, and take ownership of their work without supervision. If you're someone who enjoys variety and likes solving problems on your own, this position could be a perfect fit.
The Role
This is not your typical carpenter position.
You might spend the morning working on a new construction project, operate a backhoe after lunch, and finish the day landscaping or repairing one of our properties. Every day brings something different.
We're seeking someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and can confidently work without direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead construction, renovation, and repair projects from start to finish
- Perform carpentry work on new and existing buildings
- Complete repairs and maintenance on residential and commercial properties
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes and excavators
- Assist with excavation, site preparation, and landscaping projects
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers
- Organize materials and maintain efficient job sites
- Solve problems independently and make sound decisions in the field
- Travel occasionally throughout Newfoundland for project work
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry and construction experience
- Ability to work 100% independently with minimal direction
- Experience leading projects and managing work from start to finish
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a strong asset
- Experience with landscaping, excavation, or property maintenance is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and equipment repair experience are beneficial
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills

Work Location
Your primary work area will be Herring Neck, Twillingate, and the surrounding communities. From time to time, you may be sent elsewhere in Newfoundland to complete projects, but most work will be local.
