The University of Fredericton (UFred), a recognized degree-granting institution in the Province of New Brunswick and ACBSP-accredited, is seeking qualified independent contractors to provide adjunct teaching services in Marketing within our MBA, Accelerated MBA (AMBA), and Executive MBA (EMBA) programs.
Our programs are delivered fully online and are designed for working professionals seeking flexible, high-quality graduate business education that connects academic theory with contemporary business practice.
Teaching Areas
- We are particularly interested in faculty with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Marketing Management and Strategic Marketing
- Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics
- Consumer Behaviour and Customer Experience
- Brand Management
- Professional Selling and Sales Leadership
- AI and Emerging Technologies in Marketing
Course Format
MBA courses: 11 weeks
AMBA courses: 7 weeks
EMBA courses: 7 weeks
Courses are delivered fully online throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level online Marketing courses, delivering content that is engaging, clear, academically rigorous, and aligned with UFred's academic standards.
- Facilitate an engaging online learning environment by encouraging meaningful interaction, providing timely and constructive feedback, and supporting student success.
- Connect marketing theory with contemporary professional practice through relevant industry examples, emerging technologies, and real-world business applications.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of assessments and learning activities that reflect graduate-level expectations and practical application.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or DBA from an accredited university in Marketing or Business Administration with a Marketing specialization
- 5+ years of post-secondary teaching experience
- Demonstrated academic and/or professional expertise in Marketing
- Ability to connect marketing theory with contemporary business practice
- Strong communication, facilitation, and student-engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience teaching in Canadian or U.S. higher education, particularly at the MBA/EMBA level or with executive learners
- Experience teaching in a fully online environment
- Relevant professional experience in marketing, sales, brand management, digital marketing, or consulting
- Experience with curriculum development, experiential learning, or AI-enabled teaching and learning
- A professional Marketing or Sales designation (e.g., CM, ISP, CSP, or equivalent), considered an asset
