Multi-practitioner office seeking a part-time receptionist.
Must be proficient in English, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be reliable, friendly, organized and efficient. Must also be familiar with Jane App and MS Office. We prefer applicants with Medical Office experience and an MOA background.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and clients professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Take phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Schedule appointments using Jane App and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency, including updating client or patient records
- Support office functions including patient check-in and new patient procedures
- Handle filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring documents are organized and accessible
- Take payments, track insurance billing, calculate reception payroll and practitioner commissions
- Support administrative tasks such as proofreading, preparing and submitting documents for practitioners
Ideal candidates have:
- Experience in office administration or clerical roles in a similar environment (health clinic)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong typing skills with the ability to perform data entry quickly and accurately
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills for front desk interactions
- Capable of handling filing systems and maintaining organized records
- Ability to prioritize
