Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, primarily excavators, to assist in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently on-site. Prior experience with heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders. Excavator Operator plays a vital role in ensuring project completion with precision and safety.
Duties
- Operate excavators to maintain safe slopes and be able to pull grade for sewer lines.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, grading, and material handling according to project specifications.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Coordinate with team members to execute construction activities efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in outdoor construction settings under varying weather conditions. This position offers an opportunity for experienced heavy equipment operators to contribute their skills on diverse projects while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
