As a Tutor & Mentor, your role is to build meaningful relationships with students while delivering personalized instruction that develops confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning. Rather than simply helping students complete schoolwork, you'll identify learning gaps, adapt instruction to each student's needs, and help them achieve measurable academic growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, one-on-one and small-group instruction tailored to each student's learning profile, goals, and pace.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that builds confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills.
- Differentiate instruction using a variety of teaching strategies to meet each student's unique needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide accurate, meaningful feedback through session notes, progress reviews, and parent communication.
- Collaborate with Centre Managers and fellow educators to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality support.
- Follow each student's individualized learning plan, adapting lessons as needed while providing feedback to continuously improve programming.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a growth mindset by helping students learn from mistakes rather than simply providing answers.
- Complete administrative responsibilities, including session documentation and lesson preparation, in a timely manner.
- Participate in onboarding, professional development, and ongoing training to continuously strengthen instructional practice.

Qualifications
- Ontario Certified Teacher, teacher candidate, or university student/graduate with strong subject knowledge in the areas being taught.
- Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or working with children and youth.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt instruction to a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and ages.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced educational environment.
- Passion for helping students grow academically, develop confidence, and become independent learners.
- A commitment to continuous learning, professionalism, and educational excellence.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
