CDC Construction is a General Contractor and Construction Manager in Metro Vancouver specializing in healthcare, hospitality, retail and other commercial tenant improvements. CDC operates under the principles of integrity, fairness, caring, responsibility, leadership and collaboration. The estimating team is responsible for securing new projects, on both lump-sum projects and construction management proposals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates based on bid documents, drawings and specifications
- Examine and analyze tenders and recommend tender awards
- Liaise and consult with engineers, architects, owner, subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide value engineering services for clients
- Prepare construction schedules
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients
- Provide and refine budgets for clients on construction management projects, from Class D through Class A
- Attend site visits for prospective projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction
- Proficient with MS Project and Excel
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Ability to work to deadlines
Additional Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proficient with takeoff software (Bluebeam or similar)
- Experience with Building Connected
- Experience estimating on acute healthcare projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
