Sales & Estimating Specialist I
Operations / Waterworks (Construction-related)

On behalf of our client in the waterworks industry, we are searching for a Sales & Estimating Specialist I. This role supports outside sales and project delivery by preparing take-offs, coordinating bids and quotations, maintaining quotation trackers and project documentation, and working closely with account managers to ensure accurate, timely project pricing and follow‑up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with outside sales to develop, coordinate and implement sales strategies for bids and tenders.
- Gather pre- and post-tender feedback and manage project follow-ups.
- Maintain and monitor project plans/delivery schedules; track progress against deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation; provide administrative and logistical support for project meetings.
- Manage project take-offs, bid preparation and quotations; ensure accuracy and consistency in pricing and technical details.
- Facilitate quotation review with Account Managers prior to release and maintain the quotation tracker.
- Identify and assess project risks/constructability issues and propose solutions to mitigate disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations or related field, OR post‑secondary education with a project management diploma/certificate.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in sales or project management, preferably in the waterworks or construction industry.
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with MS Project.
- Ability to read engineered drawings and use estimating tools (e.g., Planswift).
- Strong organization, negotiation, problem‑solving, communication and attention to detail; ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; post‑secondary/project management diploma or certificate acceptable.
Working Conditions:

- Base Pay: $65,000 - $70,000 CAD per year (exact compensation may vary by skills, experience and location).
