About Better Space Therapy
Better Space Therapy is a growing psychotherapy and family mediation practice located in Mississauga, Ontario. We provide compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, as well as mediation services for families navigating separation and divorce.

As our practice grows, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Psychotherapist (RP/RP-Q) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our team and provide high-quality in-person psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families.
Position Overview
This is a part-time, in-person role for a clinician who is passionate about supporting clients through life’s challenges and committed to providing exceptional care.
The ideal candidate is a warm, collaborative, and client-centered professional who enjoys working within a supportive private practice environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who are available to work at least one evening per week and Sundays.
Responsibilities
● Provide psychotherapy services to individuals and couples
● Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical documentation
● Maintain accurate and timely client records in accordance with professional and legal standards
● Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs
● Collaborate with the clinical team when appropriate
● Participate in case consultation and professional development opportunities
● Maintain ethical and professional standards as outlined by your regulatory college
● Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment for clients
Qualifications
Required
● Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, Psychotherapy, or a related field
● Registration in good standing with one of the following:
- College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as RP or RP (Qualifying)
- Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as an RSW
● Professional liability insurance
● Experience providing psychotherapy and counselling services
● Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
● Ability to maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation
● Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
● Compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered approach
Preferred
● Experience working with couples and relationship concerns
● Experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, or family-related concerns
● Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds
● Training in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, EFT, ACT, DBT, Gottman Method, EMDR, or similar approaches
Availability Requirements
Candidates must be available for:
● A minimum of two in-person shifts per week
● At least one evening per week
● Sundays
Work Location: In Person - Mississauga, Ontario
Additional availability is considered an asset.
