What You'll Be Doing
As our Asphalt Crew Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our paving crews while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities include:
- Operating and setting up the asphalt paver
- Leading and supervising the paving crew on residential paving projects
- Hiring, interviewing, and helping build a dependable team
- Training new crew members in proper paving techniques and best practices
- Coaching employees to improve productivity, workmanship, and efficiency
- Planning each day's work to maximize production
- Ensuring every driveway is completed to our quality standards
- Troubleshooting and solving problems on active job sites
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Coordinating equipment, trucks, and materials to minimize downtime
- Performing quality control inspections throughout each project
- Communicating with customers professionally when required
Performance Expectations

The ideal candidate can consistently organize and lead a crew capable of completing 2–3 residential single or double driveways per day while maintaining exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has:
- Extensive experience in asphalt paving
- Strong experience operating an asphalt paver
- Thorough knowledge of every stage of the paving process, from preparation to final compaction
- Leadership experience running paving crews
- Experience hiring, training, and mentoring employees
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A valid driver's licence
- A clean driver's abstract
- Experience operating loaders, rollers, skid steers, or other paving equipment is considered an asset
