About the Job
Position Summary: The main functions of the IT Support Specialist are the support, troubleshooting, and configuration of applications and hardware components, all using our remote support tools. You will also be assisting the Level 1 agent and acting as a mentor. The IT Specialist will be expected to provide exceptional customer service.
Duties / Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support assistance ( via telephone / remote control / email / and in person visits )
* Record incidents reported by clients ( via telephone or email ) into help desk software
* Support the client through the problem resolution process and/or escalate the incident to a higher level
* Support, install, configure and troubleshoot ( all PC equipment & different types of office applications )
* Document all work performed into help desk software
* Schedule an onsite visit if required
The candidate must meet these requirements :
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Windows operating system environment
* DEC, AEC or DEP; ( Must speak english fluently, basic french knowledge )
* Good knowledge of networking principles ( routers, switches )
* Good knowledge of computer hardware
* Basic knowledge of servers ( DHCP, RDP )
* Good knowledge of Office 365 admin / sharepoint
* Customer service oriented; Organized, sense of prioritization, documentation skills.
* 2-4 years experience in similar employment
* Some Linux knowledge is an asset
* Using a Ticketing system ( help desk software is an asset)
* Mobile phone
* Good English with basic french language
