Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining patient safety and comfort
- Manage medical records and documentation accurately within Cleardent software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient health before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety
- Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care plans in clear, understandable language
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, and treatment planning using dental coding standards
Requirements
- Valid Certification as a Dental Assistant is REQUIRED!!
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry setting; familiarity with Invisalign dentistry is a plus
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Skilled in operating dental technology including X-ray machines, iTero scanner, and CLEARDENT software for charting and billing
- Knowledge of relevant dentistry experience, with dental assisting for various specialties such as prosthodontics, and endodontics
- Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance regarding medical records and data security
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff of all ages including pediatrics
- TUESDAY 9-4, WEDNESDAY 11-7, FRIDAY 9-3 *MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS IN THE FUTURE*
