We are a locally owned and operated cannabis retail store that has roots in the cannabis community, culture, and industry. Currently we are looking for two Managers to provide support as we expand our operations to a second location at 1709 11th Street West, Saskatoon. The time of each Manager may be split between both locations or primarily based at one location depending on availability and needs of the business. We are looking to fill the positions with people who are knowledgeable and passionate about cannabis and have the necessary skills to be successful in this role.
There will be a wide range of duties associated with this role, including but not limited to:
- Inventory Management – ensure products and purchase orders are created and received accurately, identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, monitor and determine suitable products and inventory levels, set pricing to ensure sell-through, regularly update menus to reflect changing product offerings
- Staffing and Scheduling – develop schedules that ensure sufficient staffing levels for operations, provide additional coverage when required, plan staffing requirements and recruit new employees as required, employee orientation and training on policies and procedures, promote a strong team environment
- Continued Development – identify and develop training, industry and educational opportunities applicable to both staff and management, participate in employee performance planning and reviews, provide coaching to help develop staff and ensure optimal performance, provide constructive feedback to ensure employees are meeting expectations, recognize employee growth and achievements
- Communication – clearly and respectfully communicate with a variety of stakeholders including staff, customers, vendors, regulators and management, engage in critical conversations and demonstrate ability to resolve conflicts that may arise, listen to and resolve concerns from customers and staff
- Technology – working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), POS hardware and software setup and trouble shooting, e-commerce, cloud file storage
- Outreach – participate in activities that promote the store to new and existing customers such as hosting barbecues or attending industry events, concerts, festivals, and community events while representing The Green Moon in a manner that reflects our values
- Operations – Oversee staff and daily operations to ensure positive customer experience, maintain and troubleshoot POS system, monitor product placement and organize displays to ensure products are accessible to customers, identify reoccurring issues and standardize procedures to mitigate risk, ensure the store is operating within compliance of local, provincial, and federal laws regarding cannabis sales
- Safety – champion safety of staff in the workplace, ensure proper information is provided to customers related to the effects of products that they are buying, encourage safe consumption, recommend products that are within a customer’s experience level
- Financials – review daily sales, prepare budget estimates, ensure proper cash handling processes are followed, assist with timecards and payroll, process invoices, bookkeeping and other accounting functions
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
