MACHINERY SALES REP - HIGH INCOME – EASTERN ONTARIO
THE OPPORTUNITY:
A manufacturer is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Field Sales Representative to join its dynamic sales team.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients in Eastern Ontario.
Your expertise in technical sales of metalworking machinery, account management, and relationship management will be crucial as you work to meet and exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.
Previous technical sales experience (ideally outside B2B sales) is an asset but not required.
The business is within the Machinery and Heavy Equipment industry , with a strong presence selling into metal fabrication environments across Ontario.
Candidates may come from an Industrial Sales background within the Machinery sector, particularly those selling to Metal Fabricators in Eastern Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Sales Representative seeking a high-income, performance-driven role within an established territory.
LOCATION:
Eastern Ontario – East of Highway 404 including Ajax, Newmarket, Durham Region, and Peterborough east to Ottawa
COMPENSATION:
$100,000 – $150,000+ realistic first-year earnings (uncapped), plus car allowance, gas, benefits, and defined benefit pension
A lucrative, performance-driven compensation package in a developed and producing territory includes:
Base salary: $50,000 per annum (Non-negotiable)
Car allowance: $1,150 per month + gas (Non-negotiable)
First-year income guarantee: $80,000
Expected earnings: $100,000 – $150,000 in year one
Commission Structure:
Approximately $140,000 in commissions based on $8M in machine sales
Uncapped commissions
With increasing deal sizes and strong demand, exceeding $8M is a realistic and achievable target
Compensation Context:
With a growing product line and expanding customer base, both territories are expected to generate $8M+ annually .
Based on average commission rates, this equates to approximately $140K in commissions + $50K base , with no ceiling on earnings .
This role is designed for sales professionals who want to earn well above average through performance in a proven, revenue-generating territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand market presence within the province
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and understand their needs
- Utilize CRM to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and follow-ups
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Provide technical sales support by understanding product features and delivering tailored solutions
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills
Proven experience in metalworking machinery sales or a related field
- Strong understanding of the sales process
- CRM proficiency for account management
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong negotiation ability
- Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategy
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
Must be able to travel to the United States
Experience
Technical Sales: 5 years (preferred)
- Manufacturing Equipment Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Outside Sales: 3 years (preferred)
