NIS Ltd. Field Operatives are responsible for day-to-day field operations, including the conduct of mobile and static surveillance, field representation services, interviews, and general investigations. Field operatives work in teams of four to five investigators, under the direct supervision of a NIS Ltd. Field Supervisor. All members of NIS Ltd. field teams are cognizant of other team members’ caseloads, and all maintain a secure communication with each other via variable radio transmission frequencies and encrypted, secure e-mail. While directly accountable to their individual Field Supervisors, NIS Ltd. Field Operatives are ultimately accountable and subject to the authority of NIS Ltd. Director of Field Operations, Robert Loncaric. Hiring standards for the position of Field Operative are as follows:
- Minimum two years post-secondary education is preferred.
- Completion of a government-approved private investigative training course (minimum one year course) or a minimum of three years of direct experience in the conduct of insurance-related investigations, surveillance, and field services.
- No criminal record or record of police investigations.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Good driving record.
- Good legal knowledge and legal research skills.
- Preference to candidates with secondary language skills.
- Good knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.
- Good financial and credit history.
- Good community reputation and high standards of integrity.
