Who are we looking for?
We’re currently seeking an Sr. IT Business Application Analyst within our IT department for an existing vacancy in our Head Office in London. The Sr. IT Business Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing assigned IT applications across the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, this role involves working closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and third-party vendors to deliver reliable, high-quality application solutions. The Senior IT Business Applications Analyst will lead requirements gathering, drive continuous improvement initiatives, provide hands-on technical expertise, and develop applications, including solutions built on Power Apps and Power Automate, to advance business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or three-year diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting and managing business applications, such as financial systems or ERP platforms.
- Proven track record managing ready-made business applications through their full lifecycle.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including building and deploying solutions in a business environment.
- Experience supporting Practice Management applications at law firms is a strong asset.
- Sound understanding of application architecture, databases, and system integration concepts.
- Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and translating them into actionable technical specifications.
- Strong working knowledge of IT methodologies including SDLC, Agile, and ITIL.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certification in ITIL, Agile, or other relevant IT frameworks is desirable.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-200, PL-400, PL-600) are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own assigned applications end-to-end, including performance, reliability, and strategic alignment with business needs.
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of IT applications, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
- Customize and configure applications to align with evolving workflows and business requirements.
- Support the complete application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate applications with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless and reliable data exchange.
- Design and develop/maintain automation and application solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate on a need basis.
- Assist in the development, training, and deployment of new IT applications.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into clear technical specifications, and validate that delivered solutions meet expectations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, and vendors throughout the application lifecycle.
- Manage vendor relationships, including service level agreements, incident resolution, and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate and participate in testing and quality assurance activities for application releases and updates, ensuring high-quality, production-ready deliverables.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate application-related risks, including data security, compliance adherence, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and knowledge base articles.
