Job Summary
The Horticultural Crew Members (Gardeners) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscape maintenance and garden management within our organization. This role involves working alongside a team of horticultural staff to ensure the successful selection, planting, and maintenance of plants and gardens. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for gardening, and a comprehensive understanding of horticultural practices.
Responsibilities
- Implement landscape maintenance plans that include planting, pruning, maintaining, fertilizing, and weed prevention applications.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers for plant materials and gardening supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections of gardens and landscapes to assess plant health and maintenance needs.
- Communicate client requests to operations managers
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for horticulture and landscape management.
- Collaborate with Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager to support landscaping projects and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of plant care activities, inventory, and equipment usage.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of plant species, gardening techniques, irrigation systems, and weed management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- A degree in Horticulture or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
