Job Description Summary
We are looking for a fulltime meat processing employee to join our team in our meat processing plant and retail store! In this role your main duties will include: grinding beef and pork, assisting with slaughter one day per week, and assisting butchers/meat cutters. Due to the variety in responsibilities, we are looking for individuals that are quick learners and have the ability to stay organized. We are also looking for someone that is willing to be trained to become a butcher, with that will come the opportunity for growth and increased wages!

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Running processing equipment including grinders, stuffers, mixers, slicers etc.
- Cutting, boning, trimming and preparing standard cuts of meat products.
- Following custom butchering cutting instructions for pork, beef and lamb carcasses.
- Displaying, boxing, and packing fresh meat products for wholesale orders and the retail store.
- Assisting with beef slaughter on Tuesdays.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work space.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in refrigerated conditions and stand for entire shift
- Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads - up to 70lbs.
- Must be able to keep up in a productive and fast paced environment
Qualifications (these are not requirements to apply):
- Experience working in butcher shop, abattoir, grocery store etc. is an asset.
- Knowledge of safe food handling is an asset.
- Basic math and organizational skills.
- Safety minded, quality oriented, and an eagerness to learn and be a part of a team.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
