We are looking for one calm, reliable local community connector to support small 90-minute movement and stillness sessions in Halifax.
These sessions are for adults who are dealing with stress, sleep disruption, mental overload, or difficulty slowing down after a busy day.
The sessions are not therapy, medical treatment, yoga, or fitness training. They follow a simple fixed structure using gentle movement, stillness, and guided pacing to help people feel more settled.
This is not a teaching role. You are not expected to lead your own method, give advice, or change the structure.
Your role is to demonstrate a few simple movements, support the room quietly, and help invite local participants from your own neighbourhood, community, or personal network when a session is hosted near your area.
What You’ll Do
- Demonstrate simple movements during the session
- Follow the fixed 90-minute session format
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and welcoming environment
- Support basic setup and closing tasks
- Help invite local participants from your own neighbourhood, community, or personal network
Requirements
- Calm, steady, reliable, and mature
- Comfortable working with adults in a quiet group setting
- Comfortable following a fixed structure without adding your own teaching
- Some experience with gentle mind-body practices such as meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, yoga nidra, tai chi, qigong, stretching, or similar practices
- Some real connection to a local adult community, neighbourhood, group, or network in Halifax
- Comfortable helping invite local participants when a session is held near your area
This role may not be the right fit if you are very new to Halifax and do not yet have any local community connections.

- Sessions usually take place between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM
- Each session is approximately 2 hours total, including setup, the 90-minute session, and brief feedback
Compensation

Equivalent to CA$25.00 per hour
