Food Counter Attendant

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Yo-Bones BBQ Catering Ltd. is a locally owned Southern-style BBQ restaurant and catering company serving the Lower Mainland.
What began as a single food truck in 2018 has grown into a thriving business with a restaurant, food truck, online delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash, and full-service catering for private events, weddings, film productions, and corporate functions.
We are passionate about authentic BBQ, exceptional customer service, and creating a positive workplace where our team can grow. We value teamwork, respect, food safety, and consistency in everything we do.
We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering great food and outstanding service.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system.
- Assemble, package, and serve food according to company standards.
- Prepare ingredients and complete basic food preparation tasks.
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and packaging supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and workstations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Able to lift up to 15 kg (33 lbs).
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
- Able to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Previous restaurant or food service experience.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
- Serving It Right Certification.
- Valid driver's licence.
