Job Overview
Highrise Precision Concrete is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, repairing, and maintaining high-quality concrete surfaces on a variety of commercial construction projects. This position requires experience operating both hand-finishing tools and machine finishing equipment while working safely in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties
- Place, level, smooth, and finish freshly poured concrete.
- Operate walk-behind and ride-on power trowels.
- Perform hand finishing using floats, trowels, edgers, and other finishing tools.
- Apply hardeners, sealers, curing compounds, and waterproofing materials.
- Repair cracks, surface defects, and other concrete imperfections.
- Install expansion and contraction joints.
- Set, inspect, and adjust concrete forms before placement.
- Build, repair, and dismantle concrete forms when required.
- Install reinforcing steel, wire mesh, anchor bolts, and embedded hardware.
- Measure and verify grades, elevations, and layout using levels and laser equipment.
- Operate construction equipment including compactors, concrete saws, grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.
- Assist with concrete placement and finishing operations as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies and provincial health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to meet project schedules.
- Perform other related construction duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher.
- Experience operating walk-behind and ride-on power trowels.
- Strong hand-finishing skills.
- Experience working on commercial and/or residential concrete projects.
- Experience with concrete formwork is considered an asset.

Qualifications
- Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to wear and properly use required PPE.
- Additional construction certifications are considered an asset.
Union Membership Requirement
This position is covered by Labourers' Union Local 615. Successful candidates must be members in good standing or be eligible to join the union upon hire. Our team will assist with the required documentation throughout the membership process. Union wages, benefits, dues, and working conditions are administered in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement.
Pay: $23.50-$30.00 per hour
