JOB SUMMARY
The Greenhouse Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving and storing incoming goods in a timely and accurate manner. This individual will also support processing, packing and logistics to ensure quality and efficient product flow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving
-
Unload incoming product from trucks;
-
Receive incoming product, reviewing shipment details against purchase order/transfer order;
-
Notify Purchasing/other greenhouse locations of any discrepancies, damage, etc. in received product;
-
Store received product in assigned location.
Shipping
-
Pick live goods/finished goods/materials and prepare shipments for transfer to the Shipping Centre or other greenhouse locations;

Load product on to trucks.
Production Support
-
Support processing lines by ensuring they have all necessary product and materials to process orders (live and hard goods, carts, trays, supplies, etc.);

Transport harvested/processed plants to coolers to maintain plant quality at end of each day as necessary;

Assist supervisors with processing or manual handling as required;
ERP Process/Data Management

Perform warehouse-related tasks in Microsoft Business Central (MSBC) accurately and promptly:

Receiving incoming product and assigning storage location;
-
Completing transfer orders.
General Responsibilities
-
Perform general housekeeping to maintain warehouse safety and cleanliness;
-
Work in compliance with company policies and procedures;
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent;
-
Minimum 1 year greenhouse experience;
-
Valid forklift certification preferred;
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment;

Good judgment/ability to make decisions within defined parameters;
-
Strong verbal communication skills;
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members as required;

Flexibility to work with other departments/locations as required to meet business needs;

Technical aptitude to navigate ERP system (Microsoft Business Central preferred);
-
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to stand 8+ hours per day;
-
Ability to lift to 50 lbs occasionally;
-
Ability to push 50-100 lbs frequently;
-
Working in a cool/ warm, humid indoor environment with moderate noise level and around moving machinery;
-
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends during peak seasonal periods.
