Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team. This role is essential for the daily operations of our turf farm, where you will contribute to various agricultural tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of our farming activities. The ideal candidate will have 2 years tractor operation experience, a passion for agriculture and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment and farm machinery to perform various tasks, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required for planting, weeding, and harvesting.
- Assist in the irrigation of crops, ensuring proper water supply through various irrigation methods.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for maintenance and repair of farm equipment and structures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency on the farm.
- Monitor crop growth and health, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.
Skills
- Proficient in operating a tractor with a focus on safety practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
- Familiarity with farm machinery operations, including tractors and mowers.
- Competence in using power tools for maintenance tasks.
- Basic math skills for measuring land areas, calculating quantities, etc.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Capability to maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Proficient use of hand tools for various farming tasks.
