Overview
KSN Contracting Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced 4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. We complete commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Edmonton area.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, experienced, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities may change throughout the day. You’ll perform a variety of carpentry and construction tasks while helping coordinate work on site to keep projects running safely and efficiently.
This position includes supervising and directing workers and subtrades, coordinating daily tasks, and taking responsibility for work areas as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, doors, trim, backing, blocking, and general construction work.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
- Complete layout, measurements, and material planning as required.
- Supervise and direct workers and subtrades as required.
- Coordinate daily work and help ensure tasks are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.
- Safely operate hand and power tools and construction equipment.
- Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and labourers.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow company safety policies and safe work procedures.
- Perform other construction duties as required.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Registration as a 4th-Year Carpentry Apprentice or Journeyperson Carpenter.
- A valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- The ability to communicate in English.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- The ability to supervise and provide direction to workers and subtrades.
- The ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Commercial construction experience is an asset.

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
