Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Full-Time Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and customer service, and experience managing restaurant teams. This role is vital in ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing operations during their shift, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant or food service operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Lead and motivate team members, including onboarding new staff and providing training
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain hygiene and safety regulations.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Enforce compliance with health codes, safety protocols, and company policies throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu execution, food presentation, and special requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, ideally with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Experience working with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with team management experience in hospitality settings.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Background in restaurant or hotel operations preferred; experience in the food industry is highly valued.
- Knowledge of restaurant management practices including inventory control and staff scheduling.
- Prior experience working in the restaurant industry
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to lead by example under pressure. Pay: $18.50-$18.95 per hour
