We are seeking a skilled Red Seal Millwright Mechanic to join our Operations & Maintenance team. This role plays a key part in keeping our production lines running efficiently and reliably within our fast-paced, high-growth environment.
About the Role
As a Red Seal Millwright Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment used across our manufacturing operations. This includes freezers, electric motors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, PLCs, and a wide range of production machinery.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on industrial maintenance experience — preferably in the food industry — and excels in diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, gear reducers, seals, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, blowers, and conveyors.
- Diagnose and repair electrical equipment such as motors, electrical distribution centers, motor control centers, VFDs, transformers, and electrical control systems.
- Analyze and resolve electro-mechanical issues related to processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.
- Support production teams with process-related troubleshooting.
- Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) and identify opportunities for additional PM tasks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Follow and enforce all safety standards, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Red Seal Millwright certification required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5–7 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Technical certification or post-secondary degree in a related field is an asset.
- Strong preference for hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
