Penticton surgical specialists office seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant. Our office is composed of two MDs, two Medical Office Assistants and one nurse. You will be working in a fast-paced, team-based environment which is committed to high-quality patient care and focussed on continuous improvement and process efficiency.
This job includes but is not limited to:
- Answering and responding to patient phone calls and voicemails
- Check-in and check-out of patients on clinic days
- Prepping clinic rooms
- Booking patient appointments
- Ensuring new patient intake forms are sent out and completed
- Keeping our kitchenette tidy and replete with coffee
A successful applicant will possess the following personal skills:
- Attention to detail
- Adaptability
- Ability to multitask (i.e. managing in patient encounters with concurrent phone coverage)
- Ability to prioritize and triage acuity of day-to-day clinic tasks
- Independent, self-motivated and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communicator with ability establish good rapport with patients and office team
.. and ideally the following technical skills:
- General computer skill and proficiency
- Accuro EMR experience
- Google App Suite (e.g. google docs, sheets) experience
