Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.
- Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other networking devices.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance problems.
- Configure and manage routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion prevention systems.
- Perform network upgrades, firmware updates, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, and IT support teams on infrastructure projects.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and technical procedures.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for network infrastructure.
- Monitor network capacity and recommend improvements for scalability and performance.
- Follow industry best practices for network security and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, and network protocols.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking equipment.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, or Nagios.
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Familiarity with cloud networking in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
