St. Andrews Parts and Power is growing and requires a professional self-motivated Service Advisor/Shop Foreman
In this position you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop, documenting equipment issues, providing work orders to the service technicians, parts lookup, providing technical support for the technicians, filing warranty claims, and ensure equipment repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.
**THE SERVICE ADVISOR/SHOP FOREMAN, WHEN NEEDED OR SHORT-STAFFED, WILL PERFORM REPAIR AND PDI FOR VARIOUS SMALL ENGINE OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT (BOTH 2 & 4 CYCLE), FROM SNOWBLOWERS, CHAINSAWS, ICE AUGERS, LAWN TRACTORS, LAWN MOWERS, TO UV (UTILITY VEHICLES) AND SMALL TRACTORS.**
Position Requirements
· Previous service advisor experience helpful
· Knowledge of small engine/outdoor power equipment and the ability to explain systems and repairs to others necessary
· Mechanical background necessary
· Valid Class 5 Drivers License necessary
- Organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently
- Personal Tools and Toolbox is a requirement of the position
- Ability to diagnose equipment problems other than those on the work order, or those described by the customer.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (A good command of English language)
- Ability to learn Ideal Software Program
- Willingness to work flexible hours; banking time as necessary
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 80 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in awkward or cramped positions such as under equipment or in tight spaces.
- Work is primarily performed in a shop setting, which may be subject to temperature extremes, dust, dirt and other environmental factors.
- May be required to work outdoors at times.
