Financial Analyst
Pitbull Energy Services is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the organization’s financial reporting, analysis, and business intelligence functions on a 12-18 month term. Reporting to the Director of Finance & IT, this role plays a key part in providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with Finance and Accounting and operational leaders to analyze financial and operational data, prepare management reports, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting

Assist with the preparation of annual corporate, departmental, and branch budgets

Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements, including variance analysis and trend identification

Support the development of interim forecasts to identify cash flow or profitability risks

Assist in preparing consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

Conduct analytical reviews of financial and operational results and prepare supporting documentation and narratives

Assist with business development revenue reporting and analysis

Compile and analyze AP/AR status reports to support debt and credit compliance

Support the preparation of audit and tax-related financial reports (internal and external)

Assist in developing fleet utilization and KPI reports to support efficiency and performance improvements

Prepare and maintain dashboards and performance reporting for departments and branches

Support the preparation of pro-forma financial analysis for new services, expansions, and acquisitions

Assist with shareholder and board reporting, including ad hoc and special reports as required
Collaboration & Business Support

Work closely with teams to design, improve, and maintain reporting and dashboard tools

Provide financial insight to operational and corporate stakeholders in support of informed decision-making

Review employee expense reports and operational cost data for adherence to company policies and standards

Maintain a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and service orientation across all interactions

Promote collaboration and alignment across departments, reinforcing organization-wide objectives
Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in financial reporting tools, spreadsheets, and data analysis

Experience working with dashboards, KPIs, and business intelligence reporting

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively
