'TRUE Sports ULC, a division of TRUE Hockey, is committed to designing and manufacturing high-performance hockey gear for athletes worldwide. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support two key areas of the business: treasury operations and R&D funding initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning and driving projects independently. You will report to the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities
Treasury (~50%):
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities
- Support cash management and reporting
- Assist with payment processing and banking operations
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records
R&D Support (~50%):
- Support the preparation and submission of SR&ED claims
- Assist with government grant applications (federal and provincial), including the Canada Periodical Fund and similar programs
- Track grant timelines, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather supporting documentation for claims and applications
- Maintain organized records for audit purposes
Qualifications
Required:
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial analyst, financial coordinator, or accounting role
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to own and drive projects to completion
- Attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets and financial records
Preferred:
- Experience supporting SR&ED claims or government grant applications
- Familiarity with CRA processes and compliance requirements
- Experience with bank reconciliations or treasury operations
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
