Sesonal is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Browns' Clearwater West Lodge in Atikokan. Browns' is a premier Hunting and Fishing lodge and campground located in Northwestern Ontario. We offer 6 modern cabins, 5 out posts and over 76 campsites for visitors to relax and unwind in the breathtaking Boreal Forest!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of commercial spaces while working in a professional setting. Prior experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. The position emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces
- Conduct routine commercial cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities to ensure all areas meet safety and cleanliness standards
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure proper storage of equipment
- Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and tools effectively
- Support additional tasks related to building upkeep as needed to ensure a clean and functional environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify repair needs
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and professionalism
- Prior experience in maintenance or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
