Summary:
We are seeking a mid-level Accountant to support our specialty mushroom farm and distribution center. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly and attention to detail is critical
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, and vendor payments
- Support Accounts Receivable and collections as needed
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account analysis
- Prepare and support financial reporting
- Assist with payroll processing and government remittances
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience (mid-level)
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
- Proficient in accounting software and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred
Nice to Have:
- Experience in distribution, agriculture, or food-related environments
- Experience working with ERP systems
Compensation:
- $55,000 – $70,000 CAD annually, based on experience
Work Environment:
- In-person role in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
