Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly energetic and motivated Medical Office Assistant for our Sault Ste. Marie branch. The Clinical Assistant provides administrative support and customer assistance in a branch location or healthcare setting.Responsibilities include delivering, setting up, and instructing clients on the use of home medical equipment while ensuring they understand safety protocols. The role also involves promoting the company’s commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies. Actively promotes safe work practices and promptly reports any unsafe conditions or practices.
- Ensures the proper functioning of equipment by completing routine maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Supports the growth and success of the organization by collaborating with medical professionals, providing product information and demonstrations to potential clients, and contributing to marketing and outreach efforts.
- Assists management and staff by handling daily office tasks, including document preparation, data management, inventory tracking, financial transactions, and maintaining organized client records.
- Works closely with colleagues to enhance customer service and communicates effectively with healthcare professionals to meet client needs.
- Assists healthcare providers with administrative tasks, equipment maintenance, and client education regarding funding program requirements and procedures.
- Documents client care services accurately and ensures compliance with confidentiality and infection control policies to protect clients and staff.
- Supports operational efficiency by reviewing and improving processes, workflows, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintains awareness of funding systems and assists with the preparation of necessary documentation to facilitate client payments.
- Contributes to team readiness by participating in on-call rotations and performing other duties as assigned.
Here’s what you will need
- College Certificate or Diploma in Medical Office Administration or medical background preferred.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, ERP & Google systems with strong data entry skills and selling skills.
- 1-2 years of experience in general office practice
