About the Role
Inuit Heritage Trust Incorporated (IHT) is seeking an Office Reception Administrator to support front-line operations and serve as the first point of contact for the organization.
This is a community-facing role supporting access to IHT services and ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment for visitors, including Elders.
We offer a friendly, supportive, and team-oriented office environment, and are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, including Elders and community members
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Monitor and manage the general email inbox
- Log and track all inquiries
- Receive and distribute mail
- Assist with meeting setup (on-site and off-site)
- Open and close the office (keyholder)
- Provide general administrative support
- Process payments (cash and electronic) as required
Qualifications
- Beginner to conversational Inuktitut (required)
- Strong English communication skills
- Customer service or front-line experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- NAC Office Administration Program is an asset
- Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
Conditions of Employment
- Criminal record check may be required
- Must be bondable
- This position is based in Iqaluit. No housing is provided
- Applicants from outside Iqaluit may be considered if they have reliable housing arrangements
Employment Equity
Northern Allowance additional to pay
Article 23 of the Nunavut Agreement applies.
Inuit applicants will be given priority.
Pay: $30.00-$52.00 per hour
