Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for for transporting lumber and building materials. This role requires a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage delivery operations efficiently. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our products.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery truck with 32' gooseneck trailer to transport lumber, building material, and trusses to various locations within the region.
- Load and unload material using forklifts when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, maintaining proper documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections.
- Assist with lumber yard operations, including shipping and receiving.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of materials.
- Communicate effectively with yard foreman and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Experience
- Valid AR or AZ driver’s license required
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in commercial driving.
- Ability to lift 50+lbs.
- Basic understanding of building materials.
Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
