Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, restaurant management, and team leadership. This role requires excellent customer service skills, food safety knowledge, and the ability to supervise and motivate staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Floor Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth service flow, maintaining high standards of food handling and safety, and supporting the overall success of the establishment.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction
- Manage and coordinate team members, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling staff
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations using Micros POS or similar systems
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest experience
- Assist with food industry best practices, including serving, hospitality standards, and kitchen operations
- Lead by example in food preparation, food safety, and customer service excellence
- Support kitchen staff with food industry knowledge such as hospitality trends, food handling, and restaurant management
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership skills in team management and staff development
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality preferred
- Previous roles involving interviewing or hiring staff are advantageous
- Experience working in hotel or barista environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and customer service excellence is essential
