Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems across various equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs using schematics and technical manuals
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete repairs effectively
- Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes when necessary
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Assist in assembly and installation of new machinery or components
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they result in breakdowns
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment, automotive repair, or industrial machinery
- Dealership experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and schematics reading skills
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or other industrial machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for farm machinery and construction equipment
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or vendors
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid certifications related to heavy equipment operation or diesel mechanics are a plus
