Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with meal assembly, plating, and garnishing of dishes
- Maintain proper food handling procedures during all stages of preparation
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, organized, and properly maintained
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food service, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
