Human Resources Generalist

Our client is searching for a HR Generalist to cover a 12 month contract leave within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy plant, with a 50% Payroll / 50% Recruitment & HR focus.
Key Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ HR Generalist experience
- Full-cycle payroll expertise (T4s, ROEs, year-end, tax compliance)
- Experience processing payroll for hourly, salaried & temp employees
- Recruitment experience for warehouse and some office roles
- Dayforce experience strongly preferred
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
Responsibilities:
Payroll (50%)
- Process biweekly payroll
- Weekly payroll fortemp workers
- Manage payroll inquiries and compliance
- Process ROEs and support year-end activities
Recruitment & HR (50%)
- Full-cycle recruitment (warehouse & office roles)
- Partner with temp agencies and post roles (Indeed)
- Support benefits administration and HRIS updates
- Maintain employee records and support employee relations
- Assist with policy updates, performance management, and engagement initiatives
- Support WSIB reporting, Service Canada inquiries, exit interviews & HR metrics
