Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery to support construction, logistics, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and possess a strong safety mindset to ensure efficient and secure operations across job sites. Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and forklifts to perform site preparation, material movement, and other construction-related tasks.
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain equipment functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, loaders, or similar machinery.
- Valid certification or licensing in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience with freight handling and commercial driving is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair or troubleshooting skills is advantageous.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different work environments.
- Strong focus on safety procedures and compliance with industry regulations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Prior experience in industrial or construction settings is highly desirable.
